Thank you for replying. I haven't paid for the stock mp3 encoder activation code as I got the unlock from Cakewalk site using my serial codes. The problem is there is no instruction on how to enter it to unlock the stock mp3 encoder.
I'm not ready to install another mp3 encoder I would like to have the basic cakewalk mp3 encoder service resumed. I'd be glad if anyone else had the same situation where they can unlock (by buying or qualifying for unlock code) the mp3 encoder and they explain where they entered the unlock code?
Even the Sonar X1 help files don't say exactly where. I am having the same issue. I bought the 19.00 mp3 encoder, got lots of different fancy-looking codes, have a customer account, can hit the download link and the.exe file downloads, but does not give me the option to save. Only RUN is an option. When I hit RUN the install wizard comes up, but there is no request for any purchase code or registration code. Wizard says 'successfully installed' but when I go back into Sonar 8.5 and try to export, it tells me I need to go to the site and purchase the product because it is locked. I believe I need to tell my computer or my SONAR 8.5 that I have bought the product, just don't know how- sent an email to the help desk, no response yet and they are probably out on weekend.
